In the middle of the picturesque village of Wéris, 9 km from Durbuy, you will find an excellent restaurant Le Cor de Chasse. Mario, a Flemish expatriate, stirs the pots and his Walloon wife Aurore takes care of the room. A perfect combination, because at the time of writing Le Cor de Chasse had one Michelin star.

And that star is certainly well deserved in our opinion. For just under 100 euros per person we could enjoy a delicious discovery menu including wines. Many small but refined snacks, surprising combinations and with attention to local products. And all this in a very pleasant setting.

It is best to arrange a BOB or taxi in advance, because we only realized at dessert that taxis around Durbuy usually no longer drive after 10 pm. Aurore herself suggested that we wait until her husband Mario had cleaned up the kitchen, after which he personally drove us home in his car. No doubt not a standard service but more than appreciated and a ten out of ten for hospitality!

More information about the menus and reservations can be found on their website.
