Although we had often heard good things about Durbuy Ô, it took us a long time to explore this great restaurant ourselves. We probably always put it off because it is located in Warre, but in reality it turns out to be only 1.6 km from Villa des Roches and 2.3 km from Villa Louise. On foot it is therefore half an hour, by car you are there in a few minutes.
The restaurant has a modern yet cozy setting. We sat inside in the evening, but the terrace should also be highly recommended in the afternoon given the quiet location. The welcome by hostess Laurence is very friendly and in fluent Dutch. The service will also remain very cordial for the rest of the evening. Chef Koen puts an original and light kitchen on the table. He works with fresh and very high-quality products, both the trout and the egg in the starters and the lamb in the main course are perfectly prepared on the table. We also enjoyed the matching wines. Only the dessert of crème brulée with citrus was slightly less convincing. On balance, however, it was a more than successful dinner, especially considering the excellent price/quality ratio of the Bib-gourmand menu at EUR 37 per person for 3 courses.
We’ll definitely be back! Durbuy Ô may not be in the center, but the price/quality and friendly service make it more than worth the short trip.
