If you want to do a longer walk, the Promenade Famenne is an option. This 15.6 km walk starts in the center of Durbuy and first leads you to Barvaux. From there you follow a piece of railway bed and go through a wooded area to Hazalles (there is a chalet here where you can relax with a snack and a drink). Finally, you return to Durbuy along the Bois de Petit Han.
The route is beautiful but mainly runs along paved roads. And that’s even more the case during the hunting season, because then you’re not even allowed to go into the woods. Handy if you are with the buggy, but a little less if you really want to visit nature.
Starting point from Villa Louise: Walk down Rue de la Haie Himbe to the bridge. Cross the bridge and immediately turn left. Past the mini golf at the forest you will see the first signs.
